Strategic Partnership Director

We're looking for someone to join the Automotive team, responsible for the securing contracts from major automakers for the supply of the wejo products and services. You'll work closely with a number of OEM clients to gain a clear understanding of their business needs, and provide consultative solutions to build stronger relationships, developing implementation solutions for the wejo ADEPT products and propositions in their business. Your partnerships will be significant in terms of revenue and scalable in terms of their long term potential.


In this role, you will be responsible for landing big deals that are game-changing for the company, convincing C-suite executives to buy into our vision and to act quickly to implement it. This is a demanding, hands-on role, where you will be focused on delivery alongside those you manage. You will lead by example, inspiring those in the team with your determination and creative thinking – but most of all with your results. You will be technically savvy, and intuitively able to grasp complex technical concepts.


You'll have a deep understanding of the connected car marketplace and automotive data. You will be expected to bring with you a network of potential buyers, as well as seeking new partnerships across an array of marketplaces and geographies within the EMEA region.



    Responsible for driving the annual sales and revenue targets for a defined territory

    You will be responsible for relaying opportunities cross vertically in order to create new products and propositions for the target markets

    Build and execute on sales strategies at both account and country level

    Nurture relationships with key external stakeholders to integrate the relevant wejo teams

    Effectively build a sales pipeline and accurately manage forecasts throughout the sales cycle

    Validate the client workflow and engage the appropriate sales team and technical resources where necessary

    Frequent client and prospect interaction through sales calls and regular onsite visits across the EMEA region

    Willing to embrace all aspects of working in a fast growing business, from managing dat-to-day admin to giving speeches to global audiences

    Maintain strong product knowledge of the full Technical Solutions suite, its integration points

     and competitor/3rd party offerings

    Acquire knowledge of Customer technology stacks and workflows

    Experience of managing large company procurement processes and RFP submissions



Person Specification:

Significant experience of the EMEA connected car market in particular is essential. Entrepreneurial, and thriving in fast-paced environments, you combine strong commercial instincts, with a meticulous eye for detail and a high sense of urgency. Outside of that, you will have the following skills that will help set you up for success:


    Extremely well developed relationship building skills

    Able to engage immediately and confidently with senior influencers

    High performance under pressure and a strong sense of accountability and ownership

    Strong track record in consultative selling

    Self starter with a bias for action who can make things happen when faced with ambiguity

    Skilled in establishing, developing and maintain key relationships within strategic accounts, including senior

    client relationships

    Ability to work within a collaborative environment to achieve results

    Highly persuasive and excellent at getting things done

    Willingness for regular business travel across the EMEA region, with expectations to attend the wejo California or UK office on request.
